Landmark education bill signed into law: Working together to change education policy in Missouri.
With SB 727 now signed into law, this is a watershed moment in Missouri’s educational landscape. Without a doubt, exciting days lie ahead for Show-Me State students.
The Missouri Charter Public School Association (MCPSA) is celebrating with organizations and individuals across the state after Governor Mike Parson signed Senate Bill (SB) 727. The legislation, the result of bipartisan negotiations, will provide additional funding for early childhood education, increase teacher pay, and support parents in making the educational choices that best fit their children.
This signing of this landmark would not have been possible with you. We asked you to reach out to your legislators and the governor, to share your opinion and concerns as a Missourian, and in many cases, to either come to Jefferson City to provide comment or submit written comment. Your voice has and will always matter. These countless acts and your willingness to drive change in Missouri will shape the future of K-12 education for years to come and, most importantly, impact the actual lives of our next generation.
Thank you for your support and willingness to improve education.
